The CCM Next shin pads have a narrow, form fitting design. Because of this design, you have a big range of movement. The shin pads are suited for players on a recreational level. The calf is protected by foam and the knee by anatomical plastic caps. The shin has a strap groove. The lining is removable for easy maintenance. The Velcro straps make it so the CCM Next shin pad is easily adjustable.

Hockey is who we are

It has taken 100 years of hard work and dedication from every CCM employee to get to where CCM is today.

The beginnings of hockey are debatable, Montreal, Kingston, Halifax, England and even the Netherlands, but the roots of CCM are indisputable. In September 1899, Canada Cycle & Motor Company Limited opened its doors in Weston, Ontario, Canada.

In 1905, the market for bicycles in Canada began to decline, with market saturation and seasonality playing a significant role. Experiments with importing and producing cars also came to nothing. At that time, the sport of ice hockey was growing rapidly and CCM decided to enter the market with the launch of the CCM Automobile Skate. Within 30 years, CCM dominated the ice hockey skating market with more than 90% of all players wearing CCM skates, the remaining percentage being distributed to seven other manufacturers. The NHL's scoring champions between 1939 and 1969 all wore the world-famous Tackaberry hockey shoe with the CCM Prolite skate.
